Patrick Constructions carries a wide variety of hardscaping materials from large scale rip rap to dolomite landscaping rock.  And just because our office is located in Havre, Montana we are not limited to this area.  We have pits and products scattered along North Central Montana and North Dakota.  If we don’t have what you are looking for we will find it or make it!

PRODUCTS

¾” PLANT MIX​​​​​​​

  • size: 3/8” to 3/4”
  • uses: drain tiles, pipe bedding, planters, driveway surfaces
  • minimal to no fines
  • screened, not washed
  • can be considered Type 2 backfill

¾” CRUSHED BASE COURSE GRAVEL​​​​​​​

  • size: rock up to 3/4”
  • uses: driveways & roads, foundation and floor bases, top surfacing
  • dirt and rock mixed
  • rock has been crushed

ARENA SAND​​​​​​​

  • size: 3/8” and less
  • uses: barn and arena floors, dirt surfaces that don’t need compaction
  • little to no clay material
  • small pebbles and sand mixed together

1 ½” CRUSHED BASE COURSE GRAVEL​​​​​​​

  • size: rock up to 1 1/2”
  • uses: driveways & roads, foundation and floor bases, top surfacing
  • dirt and rock mixed
  • rock has been crushed

TOPSOIL​​​​​​​

  • size: rocks minimal, but vary in size
  • uses: planters, gardens, farm fields, grass seeding or laying areas
  • nutrient rich soil good for growing vegetation and plant
  • generally has been stripped from project sites

OVERSIZED SCORRIO

  • size: 6” to 2 ½”
  • uses: decorative rock for planters
  • material has some fines, as scorrio is not a hard rock
  • rock colors vary from orange to red to brown

2 ½” SCORRIO​​​​​​​

  • size: 3/4” to 2 1/2”
  • uses: decorative rock for planters
  • material has some fines, as scorrio is not a hard rock
  • rock colors vary from orange to red to brown

SCORRIO FINES​​​​​​​

  • size: 3/4” and less
  • uses: decorative rock for planters
  • material has some fines, as scorrio is not a hard rock
  • pebbles colors vary from orange to red to brown

3/8” CHIPS

  • size: 3/8” to 1/4”
  • uses: decorative rock for planters, asphalt top coating
  • material is screened but not washed
  • close to meeting highway specifications

3/4” DOLOMITE

  • size: 3/8” to 3/4”
  • uses: decorative rock for planters
  • material is screened and washed
  • has metallic particles in it that make it sparkle
  • hauled in, thus why the cost is higher

OVERSIZED ROCK​​​​​​​

  • size: 2” TO 12”
  • uses: drainfields, culvert inlets, washout areas
  • material is screened, some have been crushed
  • Very minimal fines, but no guarantee on rock sizing

PEA GRAVEL (GRITS)​​​​​​​

  • size: 3/8” to 1/4”
  • uses: decorative rock for planters, playground base, gas well packing
  • material is screened and washed
  • meet standard specification for playground equipment ground covering

PIT RUN

  • size: 2” to 12” rock
  • uses: base material below finish gravel, roadway and building bases
  • dirt, sand and rock mixed which makes for good compacting
  • no guarantee on rock sizing because material is not screened

RAILROAD ROCK

  • size: 3/4” and less
  • uses: decorative rock for planters or walkways
  • material is screened
  • hauled in, thus why the cost is higher

REJECT SAND

  • size: 3/4” and less
  • uses: bedding material for pipes, finish grading and leveling
  • material is screened
  • depending on the clay content, some reject sand will compact

SANDING MATERIAL​​​​​​​

  • size: 3/8” and less
  • uses: sanding slippery roadways to help melting
  • fine sand with minimal rocks
  • sand is mixed with salt, thus helps break down ice and packed snow

3/4” REJECT SAND

  • size: 3/4” and less
  • uses: bedding material for pipes, finish grading and leveling
  • material is screened depending on the clay content, some reject sand will compact
